Vacation – Day 6

August 4, 2011

Vacations are fun but there’s no place like home!  It was time for us to head home.  We skipped the free breakfast at the hotel and went across the street to Cracker Barrel.  It’s a vacation tradition to have breakfast there sometime during our trips.  Nick has the “sampler” which had a little bit of everything they serve for breakfast.  He ate it all, including the grits!

We headed to my parents’ house to pick up the dog.  He seemed a bit confused.  I think he was happy to see us but also a bit depressed about going home.  My mom cooked him chicken for his meals.  She started the week giving him some chicken and dog food both but by the end of the week he had convinced her that he could only live on a 100% chicken diet.  He refused his food for a few days after returning home!

What a fun week we had!  Wonder where we’ll go next year…  The kids had been asking for a cruise – with a big NO WAY from Brian!  Then we talked about Disney World.  On the trip they got the idea that we should go to Disney LAND.  Like in California!  Anyone ever planned a California vacation?  I might need some tips!

Thank you Brian for working so hard so we can have these fun times!

The Musson’s just went to Disneyland this summer so they would have tips. Also, I have a friend that lives out there that would be more than happy to help you plan.
