Celebrate!

May 31, 2012

Today was the kids’ last day of school!  Woohoo!  A couple of weeks ago, Tay asked if we could go to The Cheesecake Factory for dinner on the last day of school.

Sounded like a good idea to me!

After talking with her about the idea, I realized that she really just wanted to go for the cheesecake.  Can you blame her?

I’ve eaten there a couple of times and to get a meal (their portions are HUGE) and a piece of cheesecake (also HUGE) is just too much.  We decided to go after school just for cheesecake.

Brian and the kids had never been before.  It was a BIG hit and we agreed that it should be a new last day of school tradition.

Tay got Oreo cheesecake (which we were told was “off-limits” for tasting!).

Thankfully she had some left at the end so we could all try it.  Yum-o!

Nick got pineapple upside down.  He loved it!

Brian got raspberry white chocolate.  I don’t usually like “fruity” desserts but this was yummy!

I got Reece’s peanut butter cup.  Mine was SUPER rich and had a layer of cake between layers of cheesecake.  It was good but I prefer something without the layer of cake.

They have a TON of different flavors on their menu (we can’t wait to try the key lime).  What a fun new tradition!  Thanks for the great idea Tay!
