Friday Five – Totally Random Things I’ve Been Meaning to Blog About

July 25, 2014

1.  A couple of weeks ago, Brian & I took Tay and her BFF  to Columbus for a concert.

(It was actually a Fifth Harmony concert but they were more interested in the opening act!)

The girls had tickets to meet the boys from their favorite band.

It was a LONG, HOT day but the girls had  a blast.  I think Brian enjoyed the concert too…

It was at a really nice outdoor venue.  The girls went down front and stood.  Brian and I went way up on the lawn and sat.  It was interesting to watch the concert AND the people around us.

2.  Nick has been dying to do something ever since he turned 18…

Yes, we knew he was getting it done.  Yes, we’re okay with it.

We just might be the coolest parents ever.  I told him we’ve always been cool.  He says it’s more of a recent development.

Brian & I are not really tattoo kind of people.  Our kids are.  They say that when they’re in their 80’s that all 80-year-old will have tattoos.  I think they’re probably right!

3.  You all know I love Mickey Mouse.  You know what I don’t love?  A mouse IN MY HOUSE!

Brian and I were downstairs watching a movie when he says, “Something just crawled under the fireplace.”

(The only thing that could have been worse is if he had said something slithered under the fireplace.  We would have had to move.)

We think we have the Mouse Infestation of 2014 under control.  And we also have a much neater storage area because of it.

4.  Tay finished her driver’s ed classes.  She still has to do her driving with them.  She & Brian have been working on getting her 50 hours in.  She’s doing great!  She still prefers to drive with Brian.  That’s okay!  They have fun together when they’re out.

5.  I don’t even want to think about it but I started some “back to school” shopping this week!  Nick moves in THREE WEEKS!  He’s SO excited!
